WASHINGTON, DC -- The District of Columbia Occupational Therapy Association sent a board member to participate in setting up the minimum standards for health plans and the DC Health Benefit Exchange (hbx.dc.gov).
DCOTA worked in conjunction with AOTA to ensure that occupational therapy services were specifically included in the definition of habilitation services and that all plans included in the Health Benefit Exchange must cover habilitation services at the same level as rehabilitation services.
DCOTA will continue to update it's members and the occupational therapy community of the District of Columbia at www.dcota.org. For more information on the association please visit the website or email DCOTA at info@dcota.org.
Membership in the association helps fund efforts to ensure that occupational therapy services are available at large to the population of the District of Columbia. Join DCOTA at www.dcota.org/app
