WASHINGTON, DC -- The District of Columbia city council is considering legislation to license athletic and personal trainers under the Health Licensing Board. The District of Columbia Occupational Therapy Association is working with the American Occupational Therapy Association to review the legislation and its possible impact on occupational therapy services in Washington, DC.
The Council will hear testimony on Friday, June 28 at 11:00 am in the Wilson Building room 500. The executive board of DCOTA will draft a written statement and may send a member to testify at the hearing.
DCOTA is also reaching out to the DC Physical Therapy Association.
